Liam and Nancy are in Seattle again this week (May 9 - May 12). Three
surgeries in four days... Endoscopy and possible Trans Jugular TIPPS
Shunt Revision Thursday, coiling of several sever varicies in Liam's
abdomen (esophagus and stomach) on Friday and finally a surgery to
embolize Liam's spleen. Yes, we are now working on spleen issues.
The emblemizing of the spleen is the procedure that has us most concern at the moment and the only one of the three that is a first for Liam. As
we understand it Liam's spleen is now failing and causing additional
complications. The team has decided to "immobilize" Liam's spleen so
it doesn't continue to deteriorate and then reverse this procedure after
his liver transplant. As many of you know people can have there
spleens removed and live normal and health lives, but as one would guess, Liam's case is much more complicated. Removing Liam's spleen would make him ineligible to receive a liver transplant.

Liam has been struggling the last few months and has been on IV
antibiotics 45 of the past 60 days but continues to remain confident
and completely at peace, that in time, all will work out. Total surrender
and confidence after already being through so much? What a great life
lesson we can learn from this amazing young man.

Liam's prayer this morning was that the surgeons "operate with care".
At Liam's request we ask you to join us in this prayer.

Once again, thank you for your continued prayers and well wishes. We
are confident that Liam would not be doing as well as he is without
the love and support he receives from you, his community.

You and your families are in our prayers.
