Biopsy results show still mild rejection. This does not mean that the liver or Liam's body is giving up...it is merely an indication that more doses of prednisone are needed. The team feels that everything will 'calm down' a bit each day, but are prepared to up his medications again tomorrow if in fact his numbers continue to rise.

Overall, today was a very good day. Liam is starting to get his happy personality back and although he is unable to sleep at night due to side effects of his medications, a 3 hour walk around a mall and a good movie do wonders for nap time! As I watch Liam peacefully sleeping, I am filled with gratitude that I am awake - able to watch him breathe; to count the gentle breaths as his cheast gently rises and lowers, bringing oxygen to his lungs and nourishing his entire body. The warmth of the sun shines on him through the hospital window like a light from heaven, gently embracing him in a warm blanket of love. All is good in Seattle. For now, we just need rest, to heal body, mind and soul.

Lessons of today:

* Knowing how a roller coaster operates and the physics behind the intricate design are not meant to be comprehended by everyone. Some of us are just meant to sit down, hold tight and ENJOY the ride!
