It’s so surreal… so unbelievable, but total answered prayers. Liam has been offered a liver!!! We received the call Wednesday afternoon just before 5:00 PM and then in Seattle 5 hours later. He has been admitted and is currently being prepped for the surgery. After years of struggling to get Liam listed in the right program his day has finally come. He will receive the liver transplant Thursday morning as early as 6:00 AM. We are currently waiting for confirmation of the exact time. Some extra knee time would be greatly appreciated as the nerves and emotions are running rampant. The timing of the transplant couldn’t have come at a better time as Liam has had a very healthy summer. 2 ½ months without being admitted into the hospital… that hasn’t happened in 3 years. His spirits are high and we are all very hopeful.

One of the thoughts that came to mind today as we traveled north for this long awaited life changing moment was that all of you would be walking through the front door of Children’s Hospital with us today. Thank you all for being such a large part of Liam’s life, you give us the strength to persevere.
